Smaller Water Producing.

26 05 2010

Fishing remains excellent around the area.  Many big fish still being caught and numbers remain good.  The smaller lakes in the area seem to be on fire where as some of the larger lakes are lagging a bit.  If you can find new weed growth you”ll find walleye.  The boys from Iowa fished a small lake yesterday that yielded a nice 28″ walleye for Trenton Denny and great numbers of 17 and 18 inch fish.  Pickerel Lake is still producing excellent fish with many over 18 inches being released.  Waters temps are quickly rising with surface temps in bays at 68 degrees and main lake temps in the low 60’s.   It looks like mother nature has stable weather for a while in her site which should allow the excellent fishing to continue.  What a difference from the last two years of cold and rain.
