8 Inches!

4 07 2010

The last 7 days was all we can handle with 8 inches of rain fall.  Large fronts with east winds made fishing challenging in the entire area.  With that being said Ian Tyrell and company (Joliet, IL.) got off the beaten track and caught good numbers of walleye everyday.  Fishing over all is good and our smaller bush lakes are back on track and producing good numbers and size of walleye.    Water temps remain in the mid 60’s pretty much everywhere.  Pickerel Creek is over the banks and in the yard and my wife has informed me never to pray for rain again.  Musky fishing was just getting fired up about a week ago but current reports have been slow.  We will be getting out a couple of times this week and look forward to give a report first hand, we have a couple day break before a full camp next week.
