Moose are on the Move

19 09 2010

32 Degrees this morning and the roads are full of moose tracks.  The movement is definitely earlier than normal and unfortunately we don’t start guiding until Thursday.  Cool temps have brought water temps down and our bush lakes are still producing large numbers of walleye.  The outpost was fished last week by the boys from the NW Club in Joliet IL and had another great year.  Lots of big fish were caught and released including a 30″ walleye and 42″ northern.  Colin Watson and Crew will be heading up there this week for a moose hunt and a little fishing.  Looking forward to hear the moose stories.  Season for fishing is coming to an end soon but we will be doing some late season musky fishing which can be cold but a lot of fun.  If any of you have pictures for the web site and/or brochure please email them to us as we will be doing some updates very soon.  Take care.
