Good Times!

30 03 2011

Many parts of the Midwest are experiencing spring time weather and although we have had lots of sun Jack Frost is still hanging around.  2 to 3 feet of snow still on the ground and 20 to 30 inches of ice is on our lakes.  Fishing for the most part is spotty but this time of year we are all just enjoying getting out.  Walleye fishing should be picking up as the feeder creeks start to open up and the walleye head to their spawning grounds.  Northern Pike should be shallow now and spawning at any time.  Trout fishing has been the best and we have been catching most fish deep.  60 to 100 ft of water.  Getting together with friends and enjoying NW Ontario this time of year is priceless, catching fish is just a bonus.  We have been traveling from camp up to 25 miles by snow machine, conditions are perfect and riding has been a blast.  Below are some pics from the last few days.
