The August bear hunt was one our best for sure.  Below are just a few pictures of the success our hunters had this year.  The bear population seems to be very high in the NW.  We had a very strong berry crop in our area along with a bumper crop of hazelnuts.  I learned this year that bear absolutely love hazelnuts, even when blueberries were prime the bears were gorging on the nuts.  All of our hunters seen multiple bear and many of them were definitely mature animals.  4 bear were taken over 300lbs (dressed out) and in our south area, 13 hunters seen 31 bear on an average of 3 days on stand.  Not Bad!

Hunters from top to bottom.  Sydne James(IA), Joe Tidmore (IL), Bob and Natalie Gould (WS), Joe Senot (IL), TL Lavine (IL)
