Awesome Fish

20 02 2013

trout46 inch trout caught and released from White Otter Lk.

Snow is falling and piling up really quick.  The year has been below average to average for snow depths up until a couple of weeks back.  The snow station in Kenora registered 61cm this week.  50 cm for 50 days is the danger mark for deer populations but with March right around the corner hopefully we won’t have those depths for too long.  Snow has been drifting and getting off  trails can be a chore.

The reports I have gotten lately all say  fishing is decent.  Another week or so, Betty and I should be able to find out first hand just how the fishing is.  Temps are still really cold for the most part and outdoor activity is a little slow.  March and April are always great months to get out and enjoy the outdoors.  We’ll look forward to see some of you out there.
