The region is now experiencing excellent walleye fishing throughout.  Wether  you are fishing bush lakes or larger bodies of water the bite is still on.  Colder temps and cold rains have stretched out some of our hatches and slowed them down a bit.  Fish have all been filled with mayfly and helgrimite larva.  We are still fishing shallow and in the mud. Female fish are still active, for an added bonus to the good numbers of eaters being caught.  Despite the rain all week certain water ways are still low but many are on there way up.  Any little tributary with good flow should hold fish feeding on the larva that is flowing into the lake.  Water temps have dropped at least five degrees this week which should prolong the active bite that we are experiencing.

The fire ban has been lifted due to the wet weather that we have had this past week.

10 year old Brecken Weiland caught two 27 inch walleye in the same day, he may be our next walleye master.
